You Can Make a Difference
Your generosity changes lives. When you donate to The Salvation Army, you provide food, shelter, relief and so much more for those who need it most.
Every dollar you give stays local, supporting vital programs and services in your own community. We serve all people, without discrimination, every single day of the year.
Together, we can bring hope and transform lives.

9,171,998 nights of shelter provided last year
At The Salvation Army, our doors are open every day — and night — of the year. Through our emergency housing facilities, homeless shelters, transitional living centers, group homes, and family shelters, we provide more than 8 million nights of safe lodging annually.

166.7+ million meals served to those in need last year
Our food pantries supply nonperishable food and dry pantry goods, with a focus on balanced grains, canned vegetables and fruits, proteins, and pasta. Knowing that these may only provide short-term relief, our food pantries also provide resources to help provide longer-term food support, plus access to different food bank locations.

3+ million people in America were provided with financial assistance
As we saw in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, millions of people across the country were forced into making a choice between things like keeping a roof over their heads and putting food on their family's tables. We believe no one should have to make a decision like that, so we provide rent and mortgage relief to eligible households facing financial difficulties.

About The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army has been meeting human needs without discrimination since 1865. From our iconic annual Red Kettle Campaign to our wide variety of available programs that serve local communities, we are dedicated to serving our neighbors in need.
